Yoni is a Sankrit word for vagina or womb. As women it symbolizes our Sacred Space or Sacred Seat of Creation which embodies our reproductive system. In Western culture, our wombs are not revered, nor are we taught how to properly honor and work with her. This expansive field of creative iNHergy (energy) moves throughout our lives and the entire Universe/YONiverse, unbeknownst to many, as the greatest power we possess as women.

Utilized in the process of giving birth, this power of creation can also be tapped in the birth of projects, careers, personal healing, spirituality, and relationships… Womb Wisdom empowers women to become aware of the intuitive voice of the womb outside of pregnancy and the moon cycle to unlock this potent inner source of creativity. ~Womb Wisdom

There is a powerful Goddess within us all, waiting to be reconnected with her Sacred Space. This reconnection allows us to channel our breath, iNHERgy, attention and focus, to begin to release stored negative emotions such as shame, rejection, guilt, and anger resulting from traumas, generational recycling and environmental conditioning. Sacred selfCare and Femcare practices provide safe, non-invasive, effective tools and techniques to create a path of healing in Body, Mind & Spirit.  The use of Yoni eggs is an ancient tradition which has re-emerged in our modern society.

What is a Yoni Egg?

The Yoni Egg is a polished semi-precious stone or crystal that is inserted into the vagina to strengthen and tone the vagina and pelvic floor muscles . By bringing breath, iNHERgy, attention and focus to this Sacred Space women are experiencing healing, reconnection or deeper connections to the seat of their creative power and even juicier, healthier sex lives. This ancient practice evolved in China over 5000 years ago, privy only to the royal queens and concubines of the palace. Yoni eggs were traditionally made of Jade a very high vibrational and balancing stone, and are now becoming wildly popular in the West.

Choosing Your Yoni Egg Activate your womb wisdom and allow intuition to be your guide. You may be drawn to a particular stone due to their metaphysical properties or a specific intention you would like to manifest. Draw guidance from your intuition and allow it to lead you. In the matter of size, there is really no way to know for sure until you begin to practice with your Yoni Egg. Most women begin with medium sized eggs until they get more skilled and go down in size. Women who may have recently given birth vaginally or who have had multiple vaginal births may want a larger egg. If you begin to work with an egg and find it difficult to keep it in while you walk around, sit with it instead to complete the exercise of coordinating with your breath and yoni muscles, to develop the strength necessary to graduate to walking around and keeping it in. Always practice in the comfort of your home first, prior to venturing out with it and be mindful when you are using the restroom.

Using a Yoni Egg is a very intimate, Sacred form of selfCare. It builds a beautiful dialogue with your body which requires you to pay attention and listen up while your womb speaks! The Yoni Egg is just as powerful wearing it on your person if you prefer not to use it internally or unable to due to pregnancy or if you use an IUD. This practice is not suitable for pregnant women or women with an IUD. If you are a woman with an IUD and still choose to use Yoni Eggs,  be aware that you run the risk of it dislodging from your cervix or hindering the effectiveness of the contraceptive. Again, since this is a very personal practice do what feels right and resonates with you and your womb.

Preparing Your Yoni Egg Clear the energy and set your personal intention before inserting. You can clear the energy by smudging the egg with Sage, Palo Santo or even lay the egg in a dish of salt. We smudge all of our Yoni Eggs with sage and lavender before they are sent to you.

Prepare a Hot Water Cleanse

*Boil Water

*Allow water to cool before placing egg in (Do not submerge into boiling hot water)

*You can also Add 2 Tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar to a cup of water vs using any soap to further cleanse your egg

*If you prefer to use soap, unscented Castile Soap is recommended.

*Yoni Egg can remain in water that is comfortable for you to place your finger in for about 5-10 minutes

Feel free to use your own ritual to cleanse and charge the egg.  Use your intuition to guide you on what feels right to you and your yoni. Stones have powerful vibrations and they can pick up your prayers and intentions. So if there is something you would like to work on you can put that intention into the water and stone as you cleanse it and charge it.  You can also set your stone in the sun or moon to charge it. Just be sure to do what your spirit guides you to do.

To Insert or Not to Insert, that is the question?

Take the time to bond with your Yoni Egg. Trust that intuitively you will know when to insert. If it is your first time, naturally you may feel some anxiety. Begin to breathe deeply. Yoni breathing is a great channel to connect with the rhythmic inhales and exhales that flow to the beat of our Yoni pulses (squeeze of our pc muscles). If you join our mailing list you will receive a complimentary guided womb breathing mp3 download to assist you.

Don’t Force It- The more relaxed you are in a nice setting the better. Setting the right mood to begin your Yoni Egg practice is key. Find a quiet place where you will be undisturbed. Put on some calming music, turn up your essential oil diffuser or light some incense or scented candles. Remember this is your special moment. Assume a comfortable position on your back (birthing position is ideal) and rest your Yoni Egg on your belly.  Continue to engage in your Yoni breathing following the beautiful rhythm in the rise and fall of the Yoni Egg on your belly.  Gently massage your breasts and nipples to prepare your Yoni for insertion. This will help stimulate lubrication and you can also use natural lubricants like coconut oil. (avoid synthetics) Once you are completely relaxed and lubricated introduce the larger part of the Yoni Egg to the opening of your Yoni with the smaller, pointed end of your Yoni Egg facing downward.  You do not need to push it all the way up to the top just allow your yoni muscles to bring your Yoni Egg deeper into your canal with each sucking motion until it feels snug.

What if it gets lost or stuck?

Your Yoni Egg will not get lost inside of you. The cervix (neck of the uterus) is way too tight to let anything enter it. Some women choose a drilled egg because it has a string. This provides them a level of  comfort so they can be more in control and pull the egg out at will. The string is truly for advanced practice, as a weight lifting option. We primarily carry non-drilled Yoni eggs and encourage our users to trust the process and their body. If you get too tight or tense, your muscles will just tighten their grip on the egg. It is important for you to relax. Just lay on your back and gently bear down a little or assume a squat position to bring your Yoni Egg down. You are also able to gently insert your fingers to provide additional assistance and if all else fails… LAUGH it out!

Yoni Egg Use During Your Moon Cycle – It’s up to to you to decide whether you are comfortable practicing during this time or internally with your egg or not. Women who maintain a regular Yoni Egg practice report experiencing more regular and lighter cycles with minimal to no pain in four days or less.

Your Yoni Egg is a Sacred tool to be handled with the utmost care. After use simply rinse it with water unless it falls into your toilet bowel as you will need to go through the whole process of getting it cleansed and charged to go again. After long uses especially if you are using during your moon cycle you want to provide your energetic lifts.
