We’ve included one of great tools EFT. What is EFT you ask? EFT stands for the Emotional Freedom Technique and is a psychological acupressure technique highly recommended to optimize your emotional health. I agree with Dr. Mercola that,  although it is still often overlooked, emotional health is absolutely essential to your physical health and healing – no matter how devoted you are to the proper diet and lifestyle, you will not achieve your body’s ideal healing and preventative powers if emotional barriers stand in your way. EFT uses a powerful combination of tapping the energy meridians and voicing positive affirmation works to clear the “short-circuit” – the emotional block — from your body’s bioenergy system, thus restoring your mind and body’s balance, which is essential for optimal health and the healing of physical disease.

Dr. Mercola offers a wealth of information on his site regarding this amazing technique and below is one of my favorite videos, which I used to get started with:

There are two basic areas to learn in order to use EFT: the tapping locations and technique, and the positive affirmations. In the video below, Iyanla Vanzant demonstrates a form of the technique she calls PRO EFT, commonly known as tapping. This “needless” acupuncture accesses the meridian points used by traditional acupuncturist while needling the body to move stagnated chi (energy) or life force through and out the body.

Let’s show ourselves some Body Appreciation Love. Too often we embrace our bodies in a critical barrage of what’s wrong with it… Time to tell our bodies what’s right:

While Tapping on the Karate Chop Point say the following:
1. Even though I feel . . . about my body sometimes, I choose to recognise all that it has held for me
2. Even though it is difficult to appreciate my body because . . . I acknowledge my body and all it does for me
3. Even though sometimes I feel . . . with my body, I really do love my body

Tapping Key Points:
TH: Top of The Head UN: Under Nose
EB: Eyebrows UC: Under Chin
SE: Side of the Eyes CB: Collarbone
UE: Under the Eyes UA: Under Arms

Tap on each point and say the affirmation that corresponds with the point. Feel free to use your own words.

TH I really appreciate my body
EB And all it does
SE My body is just fantastic
UE It is such a friend to me
UN It has taken on all the things that I couldn’t
UC Because it loves me so much
CB I feel so grateful to my body for doing that
UA I love and appreciate you body

TH Sometimes though I feel angry with my body
EB And betrayed
SE It doesn’t always do what I want it to do
UE It doesn’t always look the way I want it to look
UN What if I expressed how I felt?
UC Instead of stuffing it into my body
CB My poor body is stuffed with unfelt, undigested emotions and experiences

TH Whatever I can’t digest or haven’t fully experienced

SE But my body finds it hard to digest and assimilate that stuff too
UE And it’s nearly impossible to eliminate what hasn’t been digested
UN Because it’s stuck
